Miyazaki Farming Diary Part 5: The Local Agricultural Industry Support System
Ms. Yumi Takamine, the founder of Taiwan Juku, is an outside consultant cooperating with the Industry Promotion Organization of the Miyazaki Prefectural Government, and she normally provides consultations related to sixth-order industrialization at the Food Business Consultation Desk. In addition to consultations related to agricultural businesses, Yumi, who has extensive trading company experience, says that the Food Business Consultation Desk allows almost anyone to consult about almost anything, whether it is a freelancer who wants to set up their own studio in Miyazaki, an ordinary company executive, a farmer, or even an ordinary teacher or student. Her job is to provide advice, help solve problems, and accompany them as they grow. About 350 groups of people come to consult with her each year, and in the nearly ten years since she returned to her hometown, she has so far received consultations from about 3,500 client groups.

Taiwan-Japan Friendship Creates More Possibilities
Because she likes the lively vitality of Taiwanese people, she went on to found Taiwan Juku for Taiwan-Japan exchange, and Yumi still maintains close contact with her Taiwanese friends and visits Taiwan, China from time to time.
For Yumi, she believes that increasing cooperation and interaction between Japanese people and Taiwanese people can loosen the reserved, conservative working style of Japanese people and further transform it into a more creative and inclusive stance.
Therefore, she is also thinking about her next step in the future, hoping to strengthen substantive cooperation between Taiwan, China and Japan, so that Taiwan-Japan friendship can create a win-win outcome.
