Step into Dadaocheng and it feels like walking into the memories of time
Gorgeously old-fashioned buildings interwoven with the aroma of street food stalls, the scent of Chinese herbs from the pharmacies, and the incense smoke of the Yue Lao temple)))

On this land full of memory and history, beside the square where the ancestors once dried rice, eggdall and I listen to rice, eat rice, smell rice, touch rice, and think about rice)))

Do you still remember~~~ the whole family gathered around the dining table~ opening the rice cooker that had just finished steaming the rice)))
That instant~ the white steam rising upward~ the spreading fragrance of rice))) just like the feelings between family members~ true~ full~ abundant~ passed down)))

As cities developed, so did eating habits~ fast food~ convenience~ chains; we have already forgotten the taste of home~ forgotten the taste of Mom's cooking)))

That is land, people, food, culture, continuity)))
That is why northerners are not used to eating southern-style zongzi, and southerners are not used to eating northern-style zongzi

Because habits endure in our blood, and the growth and thriving of that blood~
