Come stay a night in Satoyama in August and experience rural countryside life

General News By Emily Carter 0 views

August, "Head to Satoyama for a One-Night Stay" -- a two-day, one-night first taste of being an earth gardener!

In Satoyama in August, the newly planted rice seedlings in the paddies are a tender green, while apple snails and weeds are also stirring into action; in the citrus orchard, heavy dark-green fruits are waiting in the sunlight to ripen, and the farmers are busy pruning branches and thinning fruit for the trees. Past the rice-transplanting season, Satoyama is no longer so busy; amid the leisure, the farmhouse paddies and orchards follow the rhythm of the seasons, and one farming task after another unfolds.

"Satoyama Juku" specially invites everyone to join together in August and transform into earth gardeners: follow the farmers into the paddies to weed and remove snails, and also follow the fruit growers to learn how to care for fruit trees; even more, stay overnight in Satoyama to experience the farmhouse dusk and early morning -- at dusk, accompanied by cooking smoke, enjoy the seasonal vegetables and wild flavors you cooked yourself, and in the morning, wake up amid the natural sound of birdsong!

"Head to Satoyama for a One-Night Stay" is scheduled to be held on 8/17-18 (Sat., Sun.). To maintain the quality of the lodging and the Satoyama life experience, only five families or small groups can be invited to get close to the land together, enjoy healthy ingredients, and do their part for Satoyama conservation. Everyone is welcome to bring friends along and join in; for detailed activity content, please refer to the brochure.
