Three Gorges Old Street Travel Guide: Attractions and Tips
Compared with the globalized business model of chain coffee shops, I appreciate even more the local small shops that combine with local culture and art, and even carry independent publications.
Strolling along Sanxia Old Street, passing by the Zushi Temple, watching the willows by the river sway in the wind the whole way, about three to five minutes from the bustling old street, Ganle Cultural and Creative is there.
Ganle Cultural and Creative is an open arts and cultural space housed in a revitalized century-old house.
If you observe carefully, you can discover the fun works Lin Ming-hsiu created from scrapped car parts, with regular exhibitions subtly integrated into this space.
There is also listening to independent music records, like Golden Melody Award winners Ilid Kaolo, Huang Chien-wei... the kind of music that makes you happy and relaxed, with no burden when you listen.
Tang Po vinegar, handmade and brewed all-naturally on Baiji Mountain, natural loofah sponges and local handmade small items are neatly displayed.
I can solidly feel that the young operators are carrying out a gentle revolution,
returning to the local area, reorganizing the century-old house, planning and running it with care, revitalizing the space instead of tearing it down to build a new house...
─ Starting from oneself, through respect and tolerance, even leaving space to wait, letting the people around see and change.
On a quiet afternoon, with few people, accompanied by light and relaxing music, the atmosphere of the space is quite nice; calming down to draw, a good friend even discovered that the table was remade from old windows.
I had previously walked in to look around at what they actually sell, and had also boldly run up to the roof to look at the night view and zone out,
and this time I sat down, rested, drew and read books.
One of them, "50 Health Lessons Fake Food Taught Me," is about a mother who, so that her child would not be allergic to what they eat and for her family's food safety, devoted herself to the hard work of farming non-toxic shrimp, and it also mentions many concepts of "real food."
Mm~
I like this space. Next time I want to chat with the owner, this beautiful space :-)
Seeing the Chulu fresh milk specialty shop reminds me of the leisurely life in Taitung, let's have a cup of smooth fresh milk tea.
