The Happy Mango Project looks forward to your participation, joining together to pass on happy smiles
A single golden mango represents the fighting spirit of Taiwanese farmers; a single mango can quench your thirst and cool you down; and if a single mango can open a child's heart a little wider, then it is priceless.
Teacher Wang Shijie from Starlight Orchard in Tainan is known in education circles as a workaholic. He uses his holidays to tirelessly take children on off-campus field trips; he uses his holidays to tirelessly guide children in scientific exploration; and even more rarely, whenever he hears that help is needed somewhere, he will never shirk the duty and always "dives right in," because that is who Wang Shijie is.
Last year, Teacher Wang Shijie donated a box of mangoes to a children's home. In a publication (an annual report) that the children's home sent him, he happened to notice a photo showing about four or five children in their kitchen, each holding 2 mangoes in their hands, beaming at the camera with joyful smiles. The caption below read, "Thank you, Mr. Wang, for sending the big mangoes." Wang Shijie was deeply moved, and so he launched the Happy Mango Project, hoping to send "happy mangoes" to every children's home and child welfare institution this year "Happy Mango".
