How Can Young People Returning to Rural Areas Find Employment and Start Businesses in Their Hometowns?

Liu Zhen – a young returnee in the Huanan community, who had lived away from home for many years, happened by chance to return to the Huanan community and saw a job opening for a returning youth; at the time, perhaps still only half-understanding what a returning youth was, and unclear about the job content and approach. Chen Xiangting - a young returnee in the Huashan community, when the community was recruiting young friends, and it just so happened that a mutual introduction among friends began her connection with the community. Both of them, holding to the heart and practice of always needing to step outside, took part in it, practicing life together with a learning mindset and a LOHAS attitude; in the process, the close integration of community and school enabled Liu Zhen, with the assistance of school resources, including guidance from the principal and director... and so on, as well as the community's trust in and support for returning youth, to take as her motto "encourage yourself to do what you want to do, find your own direction and create a new self". In such a process, for Liu Zhen, who usually spoke very little, this was a kind of challenge, and it also opened Liu Zhen's cherishing of and attention to the things around her.

Slowly, through the step-by-step process of learning and doing, she saw all kinds of things in community life, and the school's respect for nature and education; Liu Zhen began to think, perhaps young people really could do things differently? With such doubts and imaginings, she also tried to strive together with Chen Xiangting; although they usually served in their respective communities, through mutual support and mutual help, and with the support of the two communities, they took part in the passing of a proposal for urban-rural exchange by the Yunlin County Government and held a picnic experience activity.
