Qingnong Axing Weather Station Fully Opens: Soil Temperature, Air Temperature, Farming News
"A-Xing, what have you changed again today?" This is the greeting that every farmer's wife in Shengou Village, Yilan, most often uses with Chen Xing-yan, and he always smiles bashfully and says, "Nothing, it's still being tested."
Born in the 77th year of the Republic of China (1988) and a graduate of the Department of Information Management at St. John's University of Science and Technology, he has been learning farming in Shengou for more than 1 year. On one hand, he tries to bring his greatest strengths, programming and data collection, to the online cloud through a Stevenson screen; on the other hand, he continuously puts the spirit of "open source sharing" into practice, putting everything from weather data to instructions for making a DIY electric weed trimmer online, so that his data and experience can be shared and discussed by more people.
Chen Xing-yan said the spirit of sharing is the hope of bringing more expertise into agriculture, such as the expertise of weather analysis, or the expertise of assembling machinery and welding to make small farm machines. At this stage, his efforts, in addition to allowing agricultural information to be systematically recorded, also aim to find cultivation methods and scientific data that do not use chemical fertilizers or pesticides, in order to respond to long-term climate change.

News Dictionary: Open Source
The so-called "open source" (Open Source), also called open-source code, means that the original creator makes the source code available for all users to inspect and modify, making it easier to use and more powerful, and usually shares it again with unspecified third parties, and may even give feedback to the original creator, who then incorporates it into the original work.
For example, computer operating systems, mobile phone apps, and web browsers all have engineers doing open source and sharing. A relatively well-known case in Taiwan, China is g0v, which through various engineering codes connects government information and makes it public online in a form that is easier to read and use.
