Tudi Foundation Wanli Erping Sweet Potato Field Planting Experience Camp 5/5
Do you love sweet potatoes for their wonderful texture and healthy deliciousness? Would you like to try growing them with your own hands and learn how they grow? The famous Jinshan red-fleshed sweet potato comes from the Jinshan Plain and the Wanli mountain area; thanks to the area's unique geographical conditions, the red-fleshed sweet potatoes grown here have a particularly fragrant, rich flavor.
In late spring, the area's once-a-year planting season is about to begin. For this reason, we have specially planned this sweet potato planting experience, inviting friends who love getting close to nature and are interested in experiencing farming to take part; you will be able to wander with like-minded friends through the broad mountain terraces surrounded by green hills and clear water, experience firsthand planting sweet potato slips, learn about their 120-day growth process, and after they finally ripen in the earth's nourishment, harvest and dig the sweet potatoes and roast them with your own hands! Experience a whole season of natural farming in a sweet potato field.
The planting site is the old home of Lin Chuan-chu, who is both a painter and a farmer. This land artist will lead participating friends to experience the physical labor, present-moment focus and rhythms of the earth together among the field ridges, and plant this year's seedlings of hope in anticipation of a sweet flavor before the Mid-Autumn Festival!
