Shuangliu Ajia is a shy and warm homebody

By day, he likes to hide in his burrow and sleep

Shuangliu Ajia is a Cancer - tough on the outside, soft on the inside

Even lions and tigers are no match for him

Yet he cannot escape human plunder

Shuangliu Ajia is just like Ajia in The Boy from Huajia

Endearing and pitiable

As if he had no connection to this world

Yet he tightly moves every single person

 

Who is Shuangliu Ajia

That's right

It's the pangolin

There are 8 species of pangolin worldwide

Only two continents get to see their traces

And Taiwan, China's pangolin is an endemic subspecies

A precious, rare creature

That you could not find anywhere else

Even if you searched with a lantern

 

But did you know

Ajia's hard scales are harder than your fingernails

Ajia has no teeth, only a long, strip-like tongue

Ajia was also a divine beast revered by the ancients
