The chrysanthemum is the largest cut flower by planting area in Taiwan, China, with a total cultivation area of nearly 700 hectares across the island, 90% of which is located in Changhua County. Its rich variety of flower forms and colors makes it a favorite floral material for home life and festive occasions. However, Taiwan's hot and humid climate means the choice of summer chrysanthemum varieties is very limited. This station has specially bred the summer chrysanthemum varieties "Taichung No. 9 - Cherry Pink" and "Taichung No. 10 - Elena", which offer bright colors, neat inflorescences and a long ornamental period, and are expected to bring consumers a whole new experience.

"Taichung No. 9 - Cherry Pink" has a soft pink color, and its semi-double flower form with layer upon layer of overlapping petals surrounds you in a romantic, love-struck atmosphere. This variety can bloom smoothly even in the hot summer, and the number of ray floret whorls increases, with about 9 weeks to flowering. This flower form and color are quite rare among summer varieties, giving it great market potential.
