General News By Emily Carter 0 views

◎Event summary:

The Taiwan Thousand Miles Trail Association began with "dreaming of a thousand-mile trail around the island," starting from your everyday life and ours, emphasizing environmental ethics and intrinsic value, and the practice of the values of getting close to nature and protecting the land; its activities include green right-of-way, handmade trails, zero-food-miles, waste and carbon reduction, one village one forest path, and public-interest mini-trips to farming and fishing villages... Through these themed activities it has built up a great deal of momentum for the land and the environment, turning it into something that leads more people to understand their surroundings and then protect the environment; the cooperative, starting from promoting collective purchasing, has never spared any effort in caring about and supporting rural land, and has organized many place-of-origin visits to care about and understand the current situation of rural villages and producers, so that more people can use their spending to protect those willing to produce in a friendly way, but place-of-origin visits can have more possibilities, and more action can come out of understanding. We invite you to come and talk with us about how, by stepping on the soil of rural villages, we can get close to and protect the land.
