GMO Food Safety Lecture Held in Fushan

Have you ever heard of "genetically modified organisms" (GMO, Genetic Modified Organism)? Do you understand the hidden GMO crisis in your daily diet?
This food safety lecture will screen the film "GMO OMG" (Chinese title: GMO? Good Heavens!) to help you understand GM food. Through director Jeremy Seifert's journey tracing the food on his and his family's dining table, you will learn about the hidden GMO crisis in everyday eating. After the screening, Wu Dongjie, CEO of the Green Line Association, will share with everyone the food safety risks brought by GM food.

"Film Synopsis"
Director Jeremy's son Ian has been interested in all kinds of seeds since he was little. As father and son explored the world of seeds together, Jeremy unexpectedly discovered the controversy over genetically modified food. From then on, Jeremy embarked on a journey to trace GM food. What exactly is the GMO risk on the dining table? Who has the power to choose food?

"About the Speaker" Wu Dongjie
Current CEO of the Green Line Association; formerly worked at the Beitou Farmers' Association and as a reporter for the China Times Evening News, and has long been engaged in environmental activism. His main concerns include the marine environment and policy, organic agriculture, community building, and hazardous industrial waste (the Formosa Plastics mercury sludge case and the Taiwan Alkali Anshun plant dioxin pollution case). He translated "Our Stolen Future."
