On December 14, the Natural Farming Learning Garden at National Chiayi University held a "Nong Li Jia - Eat: Green Light Feast" farm-to-table event, hoping to guide participants through a series of stages from "production" and "cooking" to finally "tasting," using hands-on experience for food and agriculture education, creating new connections among people, food and the land, and conveying the spirit of "natural farming" and the importance of "green food safety," creating new value for agriculture.

For this event, the management team "NCYU Farming Team" even traveled to Taibao and Zhongpu in Chiayi and Houbi in Tainan to gather high-quality crops grown with natural farming and organic methods for everyone, so that participants could not only understand the entire production and cultivation process of vegetables and fruits through the activity, but also enjoy the freshest locally grown quality ingredients.

Four Themes of Food and Agriculture Education

Stop One: I Harvest! I Harvest! I Harvest, Harvest, Harvest!

The greenhouse offered participants a quite diverse range of vegetables to harvest, including wrinkled-leaf bok choy, takana, mizuna, Chinese kale and garland chrysanthemum, with the farming team leading everyone to learn about the various vegetables and keeping the children safe on the side. The variety of vegetables in the greenhouse was so rich and diverse that even participants who normally grow vegetables were surprised to find several vegetables they were encountering for the first time.

The natural farming greenhouse has a very rich and diverse range of vegetables, fruits and herbs. Through the "Nong Li Jia - Eat" event, the public has a chance to gain a deeper understanding of the vegetables we normally eat, and through the highly entertaining small activities, adults and children alike can take part in food and agriculture education together. We have an integrated production and sales chain from seedling cultivation, planting, growing, tilling, marketing to sales channels. Located at the National Chiayi University Minxiong Campus, it is a small vegetable garden in the city; after exercising at school on ordinary days, you can stop by the greenhouse on the way and take health home with you.
