Turtle Field Project invites you to join on Sunday afternoon, May 29
5/20 (Fri) is the inauguration of the new president, and 5/29 (Sun) is the Turtle Field Project carnival.
Please save the afternoon of 5/29 (Sun) from 1-5 PM to come and see the three dimensions of the Turtle Field Project: new industry, new ecology, new culture.
- New industry: On that day you can see at once the Turtle Field Project, 5 kinds of organic, gluten-free nourishing whole grains (purple rice, millet, amaranth, Job's tears, red quinoa), letting you get to know the new five grains all at once, and also see or take part in the harvest. (1-4 PM)
- New ecology: On that day you can see the large pond ecology of Erlin Jiushe, the pool of life of the Pingpu people, with a superbly beautiful landscape, and traces of the community's efforts to survive on its own without government care. (There is also the children's yellow duck, cradle swing, feeding lambs and rabbits, and other ecology. (1-4 PM)
- New culture: On that day you can see at once the four guardian temple shrines of Erlin Jiushe, the stories of Jiushe, and live performances of the divine palanquin and martial palanquin, experiencing how religious belief is the meaning of cultural transmission (between 4-5 PM).
Turtle Field refers to old farmers in the countryside who, like turtles, bend their backs and work silently in the fields for a lifetime. The Turtle Field Project is a plan to "give back to the homeland," "nourish health and do good," and "protect the land," trial-planting organic, gluten-free purple rice, millet, amaranth, buckwheat, Job's tears, red quinoa and other 6 kinds of organic whole grains in Erlin Jiushe, Changhua, promoting a whole grains diet to nourish health, which can lower the risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and other chronic diseases and protect Taiwan's rural land and ecology.
