What is the Million University Lecture Hall for Environmental Education? A complete overview
After the Environmental Education Act came into force, "environmental education" has become a buzzword along with it! But what is "environmental education"? Why should we promote "environmental education"? What does environmental education have to do with community development?
To help the many partners who work hard to run their communities better understand the meaning and practical operation of environmental education, the Guan Shu Education Foundation has decided to share with everyone the recognition it received through the National Environmental Education Award.
In the "Environmental Education Million Academy - Community Practical Workshop," we will use case studies, discussion and hands-on practice to guide everyone in systematically thinking about and developing environmental education strategies for their own communities! During the activity, the whole process will involve discussion and hands-on practice with community teams as the unit of participation. Therefore, community teams registering must fill in the registration form in detail. Based on the contents of the registration form, we will select 6 teams to take part together in the first workshop session, and on 11/18 the list of selected communities will be announced on the "Satoyama Juku" website.
This activity is free of charge (lecturer fees, material fees, food and accommodation and so on are fully covered by the Guan Shu Education Foundation), but participants must pay a deposit of 1000 yuan per person. Participants are required to have no absences, late arrivals or early departures, and during the activity, in accordance with the course guidance, those who cooperate to complete a draft plan for promoting environmental education in that community will be eligible for a full refund. The registration deadline is 11/10. Communities that are interested and actively developing environmental education are warmly welcome to sign up and take part!
If you have any questions, you are welcome to contact "Satoyama Juku" (037-745200). A small reminder: "Satoyama Juku" is closed on Mondays!
