The Sustainable Seafood Series event was held at the Fish Way Amusement Park
Where does fish come from? What kind of journey does fish take from the sea to the dining table?
Due to habitat destruction, overfishing and other factors, the whole world may face a scenario in 2048 of depleted marine resources and no fish left in the sea to catch. Taiwan is an island country, and all kinds of seafood are an important food source for us, but how much do we really know about the seafood dishes on our dining tables?
This time, follow Kuroshio along the migration paths of fish and visit fishermen, fish traders and seafood chefs, step aboard fishing boats, walk into fish markets, and taste a meal of fresh ocean flavors at Da'an Cooking Playground. Because of "knowing," we can understand how to "eat," so that marine resources can be sustained, fishermen have big fish year after year, and people have fish to eat year after year!

Kuroshio's attention to "sustainable seafood" has always been one of the ways we are committed to marine conservation and culture.
Whether through text - the Kuroshio e-newsletter column "Which Little Fish Can Be Eaten," which promptly discusses the current situation of various fish species, such as bluefin tuna, anchovy fry, eel fry, ocean sunfish, mahi-mahi and others in the "Kuroshio Viewpoint" column and Facebook updates; related lectures - project themes related to "fisheries" and "sea people"; and experiential activities - "fishermen vs. mahi-mahi," "fishing harbor tour" and so on. Precisely because "seafood culture" is also an important part of Taiwan's "ocean culture," Kuroshio hopes to continue, through the deep cultivation and promotion of "knowing" and "eating," to jointly protect marine resources and cherish Taiwan's unique ocean culture.
