Consumers should learn to look at the intrinsic quality of agricultural products, starting with you and me.
Last July I became a member of SOFR3SH, hoping to give the team the fastest assistance and help, and I have been busy nonstop until now~
I have always wanted to write down some thoughts, and with the food safety scandals that keep breaking out recently, I finally found time today to write about the many thoughts I have had in this line of work for nearly a year.
To be honest~ I have learned a great deal, and it really is different from before
'Food safety'
In the past, I was that kind of consumer too
Buying nearby at the convenience store, quick and convenient; buying at the hypermarket, large portions and cheap
Group buying price comparisons, hunting for products, comparing pros and cons, haggling with sellers for discounts - in our company, I believe absolutely no one is better at it than me
Although I studied business and economics, after SOFR3SH I now understand even more clearly the meaning of the costs and value behind things!
Many things are actually caused by a kind of cycle, just like when we go to the market and haggle with the vegetable vendor, the vendor then turns around and pushes prices down with the farmer, and the farmer, in order to provide a stable yield and avoid crop losses, keeps spraying pesticides, and we eat these vegetables and our health is affected - all of this is interlinked; but when we start to be consumers who can see inner beauty, perhaps this consumption cycle will be different.
A few days ago I went with a colleague to the convenience store to look for something, and we started discussing it
She asked me at the time~ what do you think of the convenience store's fruit?
Me: "I think it's nothing special! What can fruit do anyway? But for me, I would buy the pre-cut fruit, it's more convenient!" (Am I not terribly ignorant)
She: "Look, their fruit can sit for two days! The pre-cut ones in the store go bad very quickly"
Me: "Could it be that they are preserved better?"
She: "I think they soak it in something"
And then today again……..CTi News: The secret of sliced fruit that does not discolor
Before bed I saw a video from PTS again, The Price of Deliciousness 1
So I jumped out of bed to write this post!
Oh dear! I have gone off topic~ what I want to say is, you who are reading this article, please don't be as ignorant as I was
Don't look at the pretty fruit lying there in the box, covet the convenience of someone else preparing it for you, then spend money, and think you are eating something healthy.
