The "Forest and Me: Sustainability, Time, and Humanity" special exhibition runs from 1/19 to 5/28 at the National Science and Technology Museum in Kaohsiung.
“Forest and Me - Sustainability, Time, Humanity” Special Exhibition
Many plants and animals around the world live in forests; this is the home of ecology, and also the natural resource source for human industrial construction, ecological medicine and food. Forests have made many contributions to the development of the world. Therefore, humans should take better care of forests so that ecology and the environment can develop in a balanced way.
This special exhibition presents "sustainable forest management," "the traces of time in tree rings," and "the human application of resources" through immersive physical scenes, real-time interactive multimedia displays and theatrical participation. When visiting the exhibition, it is like walking into a forest: observe the ecology of plants and animals and the forest at night in the exhibition area, learn the scientific principle of carbon sequestration in wood, understand Taiwan's domestic timber certification system, and try hands-on operation to experience the wonders of mortise-and-tenon joinery. A wide variety of tree-ring specimens are also exhibited. Through the rich and diverse display content, the concepts of "sustainable forest management" and "ecological balance" are enhanced, and the healing power of nature can be felt.
