Natural Energy Maker Fair Held at the Livable Co-learning Club
When you think of energy, what comes to mind? Oil, coal, gas or electricity - these exhaustible energy sources - or sunlight, water, wind, fire, even gravity or tides, the kind of natural energy that exists in nature. If used well, they can not only meet our needs for food and shelter, but may also be used sustainably, endlessly renewing themselves.
This event uses Toucheng Leisure Farm in Yilan as a hands-on site, inviting teacher Liang Chun-yu from Pugu Workshop to share the application of permaculture sustainable energy, to learn how to assess the favorable conditions of an environment, and in Yilan's rainy climate, to make good use of rainwater harvesting mechanisms, working together to build an energy-saving brick rocket stove, and then, hoping that in the future we can also move toward an energy-saving lifestyle.
Event objectives:
Understand the applications of natural energy in daily life
Learn how to build a truly working rainwater harvesting system
Understand the conversion of heat energy and gain experience with a brick rocket stove
Develop good household energy-saving habits
