Upstream and downstream news platforms release their first anniversary report, thank you all for your support
Born on September 3, 2011, "NewsMarket" turns one today. This past year brought many unexpected challenges and many unexpected rewards. Through the ups and downs of work, with successes and setbacks alternating, we are fortunate that we are still moving in the direction we originally set. We truly want to thank everyone for your support and care!
NewsMarket has two main work areas: one is the "news platform," and the other is the "product market." Below, we would like to report to everyone on the work of the "NewsMarket news platform" and the direction we plan to adjust (due to limited space, we will not share the market section for now).
The reason we want to report to everyone in detail is that we believe the NewsMarket news platform is an independent media outlet accountable to society, and it also receives support from all sectors of society, including unpaid article contributions from writers, annual fee support from co-founders, and reading and reprinting from all quarters; therefore, we want to honestly tell everyone the specific publication and readership situation of NewsMarket articles, as well as our planned revenue mechanism, hoping to let everyone better understand the situation of running an independent media outlet.
In last year's launch manifesto, we said this: "NewsMarket hopes to build a website focused on agriculture, food, and environmental issues. On the one hand, it hires full-time reporters to conduct special reports, and at the same time it invites authors from all fields to publish articles here on food, farming, farmland preservation, food education, and green living, exchanging more diverse information."
This past year, we have worked hard to put this manifesto into practice. Although both readership and various other aspects still need much improvement, we still bravely make it public, and it also reminds us to face reality and keep working hard. Below is NewsMarket's first-anniversary report.
