Durian

As everyone knows, durian is a famous tropical fruit that originated in Malaysia and has the reputation of being the "king of fruits." It is widely grown in Southeast Asian countries. Because of its rich flavor and unique taste, many people have a love-hate relationship with this fruit. Since the durian fruit ripens only once a year, Zheng He named it "liulian" (lingering), and later generations used a homophone to change the name to "durian." Durian has many benefits; because it can promote blood circulation and dispel cold, women with menstrual pain can eat it regularly. If you have symptoms of cold constitution, durian is also a very effective tonic.

Planting Method

The durian seeds are wrapped in the tender flesh; simply take out the durian seeds and soak them in water.

Under suitable temperature conditions, the outer skin of the durian seed will crack open the next day. When you see the creamy-white inner core about to emerge, you can plant it in soil.

First place 8 to 10 cm of soil in a pot, plant the durian seed, then cover the surface with about 1 cm of soil. Durian does not have high requirements for soil. After the durian seed is planted, it does not need to be watered every day; just keep the soil moisture at around 30%. Durian does not have high light requirements, and at the same time be careful not to expose it to strong sunlight.

It is worth noting that this kind of potted plant serves an ornamental purpose at home; if you want to eat sweet durian, you still have to buy it yourself!
