The pedicels are long, the three outer petals have round tips with tight edges, the petal flesh is thick, the petal tips curl up into a spoon shape, with long feet and narrowed bases, the two lateral sepals have level shoulders, the five petals are set in separate sockets, the gui (pouch) is a hard pouch holding the center, and the lip is a large dragon-swallow tongue, like the tongue shape of a dragon in mythology,
the tongue surface covered with vivid red spots, making it a top-grade green-shell plum-petal cymbidium.

The flower scape is light green, thick and upright, and the flower buds split open as soon as they emerge from the soil. The mature scape is 40-50 cm tall and generally bears 8-20 flowers. The florets have long pedicels.
