How to Grow Sweet Potato Bonsai

Step 1:

Pick out some healthy sweet potatoes from a nearby vegetable market; be careful not to choose ones that are frost-damaged or bruised. As for appearance, tall or short, fat or thin, you can choose whichever look you like.

Step 2:

Wash the sweet potato you brought home, find a plate you like, pour in some water, and put the sweet potato into the water. Note that if the sweet potato you bought has many small fibrous roots, you can put the side with the roots into the water. There is no need for too much water; just don't let it cover more than half of the sweet potato. Keep it in a spot with bright, indirect light and good ventilation.

Step 3:

Three days later, the sweet potato will take root: in summer, when evaporation is fast, you can water the sweet potato a little every day. There is no need to change the water every day; Virgos can do as they please.

Step 4:

After about a week, it will slowly sprout small buds. At this point, you can let it get more sunlight so it can grow taller quickly.

Step 5:

After three weeks, the sweet potato leaves will grow like crazy. At this point, you can prune and shape it into whatever style you like, and the leaves you cut off can also be stir-fried as a dish, tasty and healthy!
