Taro

Taro is sweet, soft and sticky, and I love eating it, but I prefer growing it in a pot, because it is really very beautiful!

How to Grow

1. Go to the vegetable market and pick out some taro; the rounder the shape, the better, and taro from the current year is best.

2. Wash the taro you brought home, prepare a container, pour in a little water, and let the bottom of the taro just barely touch the water.

3. Keep changing the water every day, and after a week it will sprout roots and shoots.

4. Once roots have formed, find a glass bottle and a planting basket, put the taro into the planting basket, fill the basket with clay pebbles, and fill the glass bottle with water. If you do not have a planting basket, be careful not to let the water cover all the roots; leave a little space for air.

5. After that, place it on the balcony and give the taro plenty of sunlight, and the leaves will slowly open up and grow to look like an elephant ear.

6. Change the water once every 3-5 days, and if conditions allow, you can also add some nutrient solution.

Chinese Yam Bulbils

Everyone has eaten Chinese yam bulbils, but have you ever seen how they grow? Simple! Just plant the bulbils you buy and that is all there is to it!

How to Grow

1. For growing Chinese yam bulbils outdoors, it is best to buy them in October, store them in dry sand, and plant them in March of the following year.

There are no restrictions for growing Chinese yam bulbils indoors; you can plant them whenever you like!

2. Buy Chinese yam bulbils at the market, choosing ones that are plump and large.

3. Put the bulbils in a pot, add a little water at the bottom, mist the surface, and keep them slightly moist. They sprout very easily, with a germination rate of basically 100%.

4. After a few days, the bulbils will sprout. Plant the sprouted bulbils one by one in soil or place them in a hydroponic bottle, and that is all there is to it!

5. During the growing period, Chinese yam needs plenty of water and light and cannot be kept in shade for a long time, otherwise it will not easily bear fruit.

6. Chinese yam is a climbing vine plant. When the vine grows long, you need to set up a trellis and let it grow along the trellis.

7. When the time is right, the Chinese yam will bear fruit. Pick them then and steam or stir-fry them; so fragrant!

Sweet Potato (Sweet Potato)

Everyone is familiar with growing sweet potato in water; its leaves are full of greenery, lush and beautiful, and more importantly, you can cut the leaves and stir-fry them, which is very nourishing.

Care Methods

1. Pick out some healthy sweet potatoes from the nearby vegetable market last year. Be careful not to choose those that are frostbitten or bruised. As for appearance, tall, short, fat or thin, you can choose whichever look you like.

2. Wash the sweet potatoes you brought home, find a plate you like, pour in a little water, and put the sweet potato into the water. Note that if the sweet potato you bought has many small fine roots, then you can soak the side with the roots in the water. There is no need for too much water; do not let it cover more than half of the sweet potato. Place it in a spot with bright, indirect light and good airflow for care.

3. After three days, the sweet potato will take root. When evaporation is fast, you can water the sweet potato a little every day. There is no need to change the water every day; Virgos can do as they please.

4. After about a week, it will slowly grow small sprouts. At this point, you can let it get more sunlight and let it grow taller quickly.

5. After three weeks, the sweet potato leaves will grow like crazy. At this point, you can prune it into some shape you like, and the leaves you cut off can also be stir-fried and eaten, tasty and healthy!
