When Does Jacaranda Bloom? Detailed Guide to Its Flowering Period
1. The flowering period of this plant
Generally, its flowering period is concentrated in the three seasons of spring, summer and autumn. Specifically, it has two flowering periods each year. The first begins in early May, reaches full bloom by mid-June, and ends in early July. The second flowering begins in late August and ends in mid-October. Friends who want to admire the flowers should take note: you can choose the stage when its flowers are in full bloom to go and admire them.
2. Points to note during the flowering period
(1) Light: During the flowering period, the most important factor is light, not only because it is a light-loving plant, but also because it needs even more light during flowering. As we all know, flowering requires the support of organic matter, and light can promote the plant to accumulate more organic matter, providing a guarantee for flowering. Therefore, during the flowering period, try to expose it to light all day long, and do not let the plant be shaded. The better the light, the better the quality of the flowers.
(2) Temperature: During the flowering period, the temperature is best kept within the range of 22 to 30 degrees; temperatures within this range are most conducive to promoting flowering.
(3) Water: During the flowering period, the water needed also increases accordingly. So we should appropriately add a little more water. However, it must not be too much; waterlogging is equally bad.
(4) Fertiliser: In order to replenish the excessive nutrients the plant loses during flowering, we can supplement them artificially. For example, we can try applying some fertiliser containing the element P.
