What to Do When Gardenia Leaves Droop? Teach You the Correct Way to Handle It

1. Increase Humidity

If it really is lacking water as that flower seller said, the most important thing is to increase the humidity of its surrounding environment. You can spray more water on the tree and the ground, not just on the soil where the tree is planted. Also, do not put it in a very windy place, otherwise the dehydration speed will speed up.

2. Change the PH Value of the Soil

Just like the flower lover at the beginning of the article, who watered a lot but the leaves still showed no change at all, then the soil may be the problem. In this kind of situation, if you still keep watering, the drooping of the leaves will become even worse. This means there is a problem with the acidity and alkalinity of the soil, and this is really very important for its growth.

It likes slightly acidic soil, so the PH value is best between 4 and 6.5. If after measuring you find the PH is not enough, you can add some vinegar when watering the flowers, watering at a ratio of 1 to 300, or you can add ferrous sulfate, adding water at a ratio of 1 to 3000. If it is the former, watering three to four times a month is enough; if it is the latter, two times is enough. You can also spray the leaf surface four to five times every month, which will be even better for its growth.

3. Regulate the Environment

Another very important reason is regulating its environment. When it goes from an environment it has already adapted to into a new area, both the temperature and humidity have changed, so it will feel uncomfortable. The part that feels the most uncomfortable is the roots. If the temperature is high, the water in the leaves evaporates quickly, but the roots have not yet absorbed enough water, so the leaves will droop. At this time, do not let it get sunlight; ventilation is what helps recovery.

4. Points to Note

If the leaves of your plant have drooped, you can scrape off a little bit of bark and see whether the color is green. If it is, and there is still a bit of moisture, then your tree can still be saved. You can spray water on the leaves, and after one or two hours the leaves will spread out, then water the soil on the ground, and you must water it thoroughly. If it is green but very dry, it means your tree has died. If there is no green at all, it means it has been dead for a long time.
