Don't Throw Away Seeds from 10 Kinds of Fruit - Grow Them into Stunning Potted Plants
1. Dragon Fruit
The specific method is to cut open the dragon fruit and take out the flesh, put it in a stocking and rub it gently a few times to separate the seeds from the flesh, then leave it in water for a day, rubbing it a few times every so often, until only the seeds remain. Then take out the seeds and put them in a cool place to dry, and they are ready to plant.
2. Lemon
Soak the leftover seeds in water, then remove the outer coating. Choose a flower pot or a small cup, place the seeds with the pointed end facing up, and cover with some sand and gravel or plastic wrap.
3. Longan
Soak the longan pits left after eating in water for a week, and remember to change the water every day. Then place the seeds in a flower pot with the sprouting point facing up, and spray with water regularly.
4. Pomelo
Soak the pomelo seeds in water for a while too, and remove the hard shell before setting them aside. Choose a flower pot, fill it with relatively loose soil, then place the seeds in the soil with the small end facing up. After covering with a thin layer of soil, add some stones on top and it is done.
5. Lotus
Pick out the lotus seeds and make a slight cut at the root end. Put the treated seeds in a little water and wait for them to sprout; after sprouting, you need to wait until they grow a bit longer before taking them out. Then plant the seeds in soil, and once they are growing well, they can be transplanted into a water basin.
6. Mango
After taking the seed out of the mango, cut open the hard shell and keep the embryo inside, then put it in water. Take out the embryo and half-bury it in the growing medium, taking care to keep it head down. Then place the flower pot in a well-lit, warm and humid place, and you can wait for it to sprout and grow.
7. Lychee
Choose good-quality lychees and take out the seeds, remove the flesh cleanly, then put them in water and change the water every day. After they crack, choose a pretty pot and put them in soil. Place the soaked seeds with the sprouting point facing up, cover with a thin layer of soil and crushed stones, and wait for the sprouting point to turn green and sprout.
8. Watermelon
Choose a relatively large container with small holes in the bottom. It is recommended to plant seeds of small melons, and it is best to train the potted plant up a trellis, cultivating it just like other unruly plants.
9. Apple
After eating an apple, take out the seeds and wash them, put them on a paper towel and then into a box, cover with another layer of paper towel and spray with water. In two or three days roots will grow; put the roots into soil with the sprout tip facing up and wait for it to sprout.
10. Orange
Take out the orange seeds; you want plump ones. After washing them, insert them into the soil with the pointed end facing up, keep the soil moist, and generally they will sprout in ten days.
