the "Three-Step Rose Growing Method" series
In yesterday's article, Lanyao said that fish intestine fertilizer water is very good for roses. It is rich in phosphorus and potassium fertilizer and is very beneficial for rose bud formation.
So how should fish intestine fertilizer water be made?
Today Lanyao will talk about the homemade method for fish intestine fertilizer water. Fish intestine fertilizer water can only be made at home; there is nowhere to buy it. If you want it, you have to do it yourself.
How to make fish intestine fertilizer water:
The method for making fish intestine fertilizer water is very simple, so simple that you only need to put the fish intestines into a container, add water, and ferment it for about half a year.
But the process of fermenting fish intestine fertilizer water often produces a very strong odor. It can simply be described as stinking beyond belief.
If you use fertilizer water with such a strong odor on your home balcony, I believe that not only your flowers, but even you yourself will be disliked by your family.........
So how can fish intestine fertilizer water be fermented without stinking?
If you want fish intestine fertilizer water not to stink, we need to use a small auxiliary ingredient to help speed up the fermentation of the fish intestines and completely decompose them.
Specific making method:
1. First, go to the vegetable market and ask the fish seller for some fish intestines and fish scales.
2. Prepare a few large plastic buckets. You can use salad oil buckets, or other buckets with lids, but remember they must be plastic.
3. If you have yogurt at home, you can contribute 1-2 bottles. If not, go to the supermarket and buy two packets of fermentation agent, which is the yeast used for making steamed buns. (This is Lanyao's rather stingy formula. Big spenders can directly buy EM bacteria enzyme.)
4. Put the fish intestines into the bottle, add the yogurt (yeast or EM bacteria) to the water, then put it into the plastic bottle.
5. Put the lid on the plastic bottle. Remember not to screw it too tightly; it can be a little loose, loose enough to let air leak out. This is to prevent you from forgetting to open the lid to release gas. Then put it in a warm place, or just throw it into an outside corner to bask in the sun.
In this way, when the temperature is high, after fermenting for about half a year before use, there will not be much odor. If it is made in winter, it is best to wait until autumn before use, to be safer.
Regularly feeding your roses fish intestine fertilizer water can make roses not only grow lushly, but more importantly, bloom more and have brilliant colors.
If your roses are planted in the ground, then there is no need to go to so much trouble. Lanyao will teach you an even simpler method.
How to feed fish intestine fertilizer to ground-planted roses?
Lanyao has said that the coldest season of the year is also the best time to apply raw fertilizer to roses!
So flower friends with ground-planted roses can choose to bury fish intestines for your roses in winter.
Dig a hole 20-30cm away from the rose roots, put the fish intestines directly in, and cover with soil. By spring, the fish intestines will have finished fermenting and can be absorbed and used by the roses.
This is the simplest method of applying fish intestine fertilizer, but note:
If the lowest temperature in your area is also above 10 degrees all year round, it is recommended not to bury fish intestines directly; there will be a certain risk. If you do bury them, keep them away from the roots.
Now that we understand the use and making methods of water-soluble fertilizer and organic liquid fertilizer, next we should make a fertilizing plan for our roses.
Only by making a good fertilizing plan and finding the right timing for fertilizing can we get twice the result with half the effort. Tomorrow Lanyao will continue sharing how to make a fertilizing plan for roses. Please keep following.
