Grow potted tomatoes like this and you'll get clusters of fruit, beautiful and delicious, with more than you can pick in three months

Grow a pot of cherry tomatoes at home. The fruit is pretty and good-looking, tasty, can be eaten as a vegetable or as a fruit, and the plant can also be enjoyed as a potted ornamental, killing two birds with one stone. It is a vegetable very well suited to balcony container growing at home, so how do you grow cherry tomatoes at home or on a balcony, and what should you do to get a big harvest?

1. As long as the balcony stays ventilated and gets enough sunlight, you can grow cherry tomatoes in pots. The seeds just need to be fresh. When sowing, cover with soil 1 cm thick and mist with water from a spray bottle to keep in moisture and warmth. In a little over a week, many seedlings will sprout.

2. The current spring temperatures are very suitable for its growth; this is its peak growing season. Apply enough base fertilizer at the bottom of the pot, such as chicken manure fertilizer or cake fertilizer.

3. When the tomato seedlings reach a height of 15 cm or more, you can prune them a little, cutting out overly dense branches, and then pinch off the top, that is, pinch off the highest, topmost branch, so that more side shoots and branches can grow, more flowers can form, and more fruit can set.

4. While pruning, fertilize it in time. As long as it is organic fertilizer, it can be diluted with water and poured onto the potting soil. You can also use fermented rice-washing water, soybean residue, and so on, which will lead to more fruit.

5. If the cherry tomatoes are grown on an enclosed balcony, after flowering, just shake the branches gently to promote pollination.

Two months later, the cherry tomatoes set more and more fruit. Fertilize, give them sun, and keep them ventilated, and you will have more tomatoes than you can eat. Pick them whenever you want to eat them.
