What is it like to grow succulents in the free-shipping region? It is absolutely like having a cheat code - so many succulent lovers are envious beyond words. So a girl, in order to grow succulents, traveled all the way from the free-shipping region to Yunnan and began a comfortable succulent-growing life.
Now that succulent prices have plummeted, as someone working in the industry, it is actually worrying - just like when you hold a stock and then it keeps falling.......
But from another angle, the more affordable succulent prices become, the more widespread they are. After greenhouse owners began mass propagation, prices naturally fell, and as consumers we can buy succulents that once commanded sky-high prices at more reasonable prices.
As a girl with a severe fear of worms, my first venture into gardening was with our lovely succulents. Bugs are no big deal - mealybugs, just pinch them dead.
Many people have told me that succulents are plants for lazy people, but then why do I always kill them? I want to say, kid, then try growing herbaceous flowers - you will probably kill them even faster!
The white bear's pink claws will charm you in no time
Counting it up, I have been growing succulents for more than two years, and only then did I finally understand that time is the best medicine. When a succulent grows a sturdy root system (this takes anywhere from half a year to 1 year), and then when the right season comes (between winter solstice and spring), it is hard not to get a good state.
During this period, all we need to do is
1. Create as much good light as possible (except for the Haworthia series)
2. When it wilts, water it thoroughly (succulents need far less frequent watering than herbaceous flowers, all right)
3. Do not let it freeze (the vast majority cannot tolerate low temperatures below 0)
4. Do not let it overheat (above 32 degrees, you need to consider shading, kid)
5. Reduce watering in extreme weather (bitter summer and cold winter)
6. Keep ventilation (we do not like stuffy environments either, right)
7. If there are pests, kill them; if there is disease, treat it
8.......
There are actually so many points to pay attention to! Well, maybe I am just used to it, but is not the joy of growing flowers right in all of this.
Of course, there are differences in region, environment and various aspects. For example, succulent lovers in the free-shipping region will always envy the heaven-defying climate of greater Yunnan. Shandong, Heilongjiang, Tibet and others are all easier to grow succulents in than Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai - did you know that?
But it is precisely because the free-shipping region has a long rainy season, winter does not get cold enough to freeze them to death, and in summer they can die of heat if you are not careful, so every year you cannot stop buying. Fortunately, succulent prices are acceptable now.

So, I announce that I am leaving the free-shipping region for Yunnan to grow succulents!
Making this decision was in the plan, and also in the changes. In the end, doing what you love again - life is short, being happy matters most.
I am not good at dealing with people, but I love communicating with them.
I know when she is thirsty, give her enough water and she grins from ear to ear; when she has bugs and it itches, remove the bugs for her and she becomes fresh and clean again; take photos of her to remember, and she will choose a good angle; even if she dies, she once lived, whether happily or with difficulty.
In the more than two years living in the magic city, there were many hardships, but it was also fulfilling, because I met them, and I found what I will always keep doing. From now on, no matter how many hardships come, I will not forget my original intention.
After coming to Yunnan, it is just straightforwardly provoking envy, haha
For friends who have never been to Yunnan, they have long yearned for this place where it is like spring all year round. Add to that the bombardment of beautiful photos from succulent lovers in the cheat-code region, and they wish they could retire, bring their succulents, stake out a plot of land, and live in Yunnan with succulents as companions, like idle clouds and wild cranes.

The large temperature difference and strong sunlight here create a natural climate that makes an excellent environment for growing succulents. There is no way around it - who told them it is the cheat-code region. Add to that the absence of extreme winter and summer weather, and many greenhouse owners simply grow them outdoors, which is completely fine. The free-shipping region cannot do that. If it hits consecutive rainy days, they will die on you in no time.

Because of this, many greenhouse owners travel thousands of miles to migrate here and professionally grow succulents in Yunnan. Mom no longer has to worry about my large-scale losses in summer!

Yunnan succulents are beautiful, and the prices are relatively more expensive. As they say, you get what you pay for. Many succulent lovers worry that succulents from the cheat-code region will lose color after being bought and taken home. In fact, this does indeed happen.
Because the climate is different, but apart from summer, the other seasons are still fine, especially winter in the free-shipping region - it is not difficult to bring out their colors.
