Chunmengdianjin (Anacampseros rufescens f. variegata) belongs to a different family and genus of succulents

Common names of Chunmengdianjin
Chunmengdianjin is also called Chuixuezhisongjin.
Habits of Chunmengdianjin
Chunmengdianjin is a plant of the genus Anacampseros in the family Portulacaceae, and summer is its most suitable growing season.
It prefers a warm, dry environment with plenty of sunlight, and grows best at 18~25°C.
It is not cold-tolerant, and tolerates partial shade and drought. It dislikes waterlogging and strong light.
In home cultivation, it is usually propagated by sowing and cuttings. Common pests and diseases include: anthracnose, whitefly.
Care tips for Chunmengdianjin
Repotting: repot every spring. It is a shallow-rooted succulent plant; if watered too much or if the potting soil drains poorly, the roots are prone to rot from dampness, and it can only be saved by immediately re-rooting cuttings.
Watering: when the weather is dry, spray around the flower pot, but do not spray water on the leaf surface. In winter, when room temperature is low, keep the potting soil dry.
Fertilizing: fertilize once a month during the growing season.
Light and temperature: in spring and autumn it can take full sun; in summer, take care to shade it, as long as it does not get sunburned.
Propagation methods of Chunmengdianjin
Sowing: sow indoors in pots in April~May, with a germination room temperature of
20~25°C; germination occurs 15~21 days after sowing, and the seedlings grow relatively quickly.Cuttings: carried out in May~June; cut healthy, plump apical stems and leaves 3~4 cm long, with about 7~8 leaves; after drying slightly, insert them into a sand bed, keep the soil slightly dry, and they will root 21~27 days after insertion.
Suggested planting combinations: Purple Peony (Graptoveria 'Titubans'), Huangli (Sedum adolphi).
Note: as Chunmengdianjin grows, spider-silk-like white hairs will entangle in the leaf axils, giving it considerable ornamental value; other species of the genus Anacampseros: Honghuarenjin (Anacampseros telephiastrum), Yincan (Anacampseros filamentosa).
