Nüchu is a succulent plant in the Crassulaceae family

The Nüchu variety is easily confused with Huayueye and Huali; in fact, the Nüchu plant is relatively small and readily produces side shoots. In autumn and winter, its pale green leaves take on a gorgeous pink color at the leaf tips, very beautiful. Let's get to know it together!

Growth Habits of Nüchu

It likes a warm, dry and ventilated environment, likes light, is drought-tolerant, cold-tolerant and tolerant of partial shade, and is not tolerant of harsh sun exposure; in summer, when temperatures are high, it goes dormant or semi-dormant.

Care Tips for Nüchu

Light: Nüchu only shows its pink color under strong light and a large temperature difference; under weak light, the leaves turn green. Nüchu is a miniature variety and does not grow very large; after forming clusters over many years, the plant becomes very spectacular, especially in sufficient sunlight, when it turns a sheet of pink.

Water and temperature: The suitable growing temperature is 15-25 degrees, and in winter it should not go below 5 degrees. When grown outdoors, once the temperature rises above 35 degrees, move it to bright scattered light and gradually stop watering; during the whole summer dormancy period, give little or no water, and when the temperature drops in mid-September, start watering again.

Propagation Methods of Nüchu

Its mini petite size plus the pink tones of spring and autumn make it very endearing, and it is very suitable for small mixed planters. It grows faster than other Echeveria, and you can also try letting the stems become woody and then growing it alone for landscaping; it clusters very quickly!

Both leaf cuttings and stem cuttings work, and leaf cuttings are very easy to succeed with.
