Planting and Care Tips for Kuai Dao Luan Ma
Care Tips for Kuai Dao Luan Ma
Repotting: Repot once every 1~2 years, in spring. When repotting, change the soil at the same time; choose a potting mix of peat soil mixed with coarse sand, and add a small amount of bone meal to the soil.
Watering: Water the succulent moderately during the growing period, once a week. In summer, when temperatures are high and air humidity is low, replenish water promptly, and you can also mist to increase air humidity. In winter, keep the potting soil dry. In addition, during the flowering period, water appropriately, otherwise the flowers are very likely to wither.
Fertilizing: Fertilize once a month during the growing period.
Pests and diseases: During the flowering period, Kuai Dao Luan Ma is weak and susceptible to aphid damage; it can be sprayed with a 50% pirimicarb 2000-fold solution. Kuai Dao Luan Ma can also be attacked by leaf spot disease, with brown spots appearing on the leaves; spray with 65% mancozeb wettable powder 600 solution for control.
Propagation Methods for Kuai Dao Luan Ma
Sowing: Sow in spring, keeping the temperature at 19~24°C.
Cuttings: When the plant is growing well (during the growing period), cut off leafy branches for cuttings; after letting the branches dry naturally in a cool place for 1~2 days, insert them into a sand bed, otherwise the branches are prone to rot. After cutting, keep the potting soil slightly moist.
Suggested planting combinations: Zhaobo, white stonecrop.
