Introduction to the characteristics of common jasmine varieties, which variety is easiest to grow?
I believe many people cannot forget the fragrance of jasmine; it is truly elegantly captivating, which is why many major perfume and essential oil brands use jasmine as a raw material. But did you know that jasmine actually has many varieties? Let's learn about them together below.

Pen-tip jasmine
Pen-tip jasmine is named this way because its petals tend to be slender, like the tip of a writing brush. On the market, the single-petal pen-tip and double-petal pen-tip are commonly seen. Both are relatively easy to grow; the single-flower blooming period is relatively short, with flowers falling after about 2 days, but the flower quantity is very large, and the whole plant will keep blooming throughout summer. The double-petal pen-tip has a longer blooming period of about 3 days, and its fragrance is richer than the single-petal type; it is also very free-flowering.

Common double-petal jasmine
Common double-petal jasmine is the most commonly seen variety on the flower market. Its fragrance is second only to single-petal pen-tip jasmine, and it is also very suitable for beginners to care for. After the flower opens, its diameter is about 2 cm, and the petal arrangement is relatively messy, not as neat as pearl jasmine, but the blooming period of a single flower is longer than that of pen-tip jasmine.

Pearl jasmine
Pearl jasmine is a double-petal flower type. After opening, the overall bud is round and harmonious, just like a "pearl." Once open, it resembles a small version of a camellia, with a flower diameter of 3 to 4 cm. Among them, pearl jasmine is also divided into pointed-leaf pearl and round-leaf pearl; the tip leaves of the pointed-leaf type are pointed, while the tips of the round-leaf type are rounded.

Tiger-head jasmine
Tiger-head jasmine is a variant of pearl jasmine. Overall, it looks somewhat similar, but if placed together for comparison, there are still differences: pearl jasmine has two leaves opposite each other, while tiger-head jasmine has three leaves whorled. The flowers are also larger than those of pearl jasmine, with more layers of petals (tiger-head has more than 50 petals), and the flower diameter is as large as 6 cm, with a blooming period usually of 3 days. Similarly, its leaves are divided into pointed-leaf tiger-head and round-leaf tiger-head; when distinguishing them, mainly look at the leaf tips.

Chrysanthemum jasmine
Chrysanthemum jasmine is known as the king of jasmine. Its flower diameter is second only to tiger-head jasmine, reaching 5 cm. After blooming, it resembles a chrysanthemum, with relatively slender petals. Viewed as a whole, it has a naturally elegant posture and temperament.
