Golden Beauty is a rare large-petaled Phalaenopsis in the yellow range, with petals that have a velvety texture. Bright yellow petals wrap around a playful red lip, the colors are dazzling and eye-catching, and the flower shape is grand and elegant with high ornamental value, instantly elevating the atmosphere when placed at home. The key point is that its flowering period is super long-lasting! Under normal care, a single flower can bloom for 2-3 months, and the whole plant's flowering period lasts up to 4-6 months, making the value for money absolutely maximal!

Many beginner flower lovers worry that Phalaenopsis is hard to care for in summer. In fact, Golden Beauty is tougher than you would imagine, but with the high heat and high humidity of summer, placing it on a balcony requires special attention to these points.

Light: Direct sunlight on the balcony is too intense and will scorch the petals, so it is recommended to draw a sheer curtain or place it on an east-facing/north-facing balcony, with diffused light for 3-4 hours a day, avoiding exposure to the blazing sun at noon.

Ventilation: The balcony must maintain air circulation; a small fan can be used as an aid to keep the temperature below25°C. Above 30°C it easily goes dormant.

Watering: In summer water evaporates quickly, but do not water frequently! Water only when you feel the sphagnum moss has dried out and the pot has become lighter, slowly watering thoroughly around the edge of the pot, and choose early morning or evening for the task as much as possible to avoid root suffocation.

Fertilizing: During the flowering period, apply orchid-specific liquid fertilizer once a month, diluted1 time to 1000 times, and watered along with the water; appropriately reduce the amount during the high-temperature period in summer.

Points to Note

Avoid moving frequently: Phalaenopsis is sensitive to its environment, and frequently moving it will cause bud drop, so once the position is fixed, disturb it as little as possible.

Prevent pests and diseases: There are many insects in summer, so regularly check the undersides of the leaves. If spider mites are found, they can be wiped off with clean water; in severe cases, spray with Huhuashen.

After-flowering care: After the flowers fade, cut from the base of the flower stem upward to the 2-3rd node, preserving nutrients so it can bloom again under suitable conditions.

In short, Golden Beauty is a medium-flowered variety, and its roots are thicker and sturdier than those of other Phalaenopsis, so the success rate for beginners is super high. Everyone can give it a try.
