Is Phalaenopsis Fangmei Legend the same as Fangmei Rainbow, and is it a large-flowered variety?
Today I would like to introduce a variety that is deeply loved by flower enthusiasts: the Phalaenopsis Fangmei Rainbow.

Phalaenopsis FangmeiRainbow, also known as Fangmei Legend, belongs to the medium-to-large-flowered Phalaenopsis, with large pink-to-yellow gradient flowers reaching 8 - 9cm in diameter, and it looks grand and elegant in full bloom. In sunlight it also reveals a pearlescent sheen, and the red speckles dotted on the pale pink lip are playful and lively; you can buy it with your eyes closed and never go wrong.

Phalaenopsis Fangmei Legend has an extremely long flowering period; under normal care, a single flower can stay open for 2 - 3months, and the whole plant stays ornamental for as long as 4 - 6months. Even after the flowers fade, if you prune the spent flowers properly and keep up the care, there is still a chance of getting the plant to rebloom.
As a beginner-friendly variety, PhalaenopsisFangmei Legend is not difficult to care for day to day; just master the following key points:

1.Light: It is best placed in a spot with bright, indirect light, such as near a window in the living room or in a semi-shaded indoor area. Just ensure 2 - 3hours of light per day; avoid direct sunlight, and in hot summer weather you can use a gauze curtain for shading to prevent the petals from scorching.
2.Watering: Follow the principle of "water when dry, let it dry between waterings", watering once every 10 - 15days, with the exact frequency adjusted according to ambient temperature and humidity. The soaking method is recommended: place the pot in a container of water, soak for 10minutes, then take it out and drain it, making sure the growing medium absorbs water fully but does not become waterlogged. In daily care you can mist the aerial roots to keep them moist, but avoid getting water on the leaves to prevent rot.

3.Temperature: The optimum growing temperature is 15 - 30°C; below 10°C it should be moved promptly to a warm indoor spot, away from areas with drastic temperature changes such as air-conditioner vents and radiators.
4.Humidity: Air humidity is best kept at 60% - 80%, and humidity can be increased with a humidifier or by placing a water-filled tray next to the pot.

5.Growing medium: Use an airy mix such as sphagnum moss, bark and coconut husk to give the roots a good breathing environment. It is recommended to replace the growing medium once every spring to prevent the substrate from deteriorating and affecting plant growth.

In short, Phalaenopsis Fangmei Legend has a long flowering period and is easy to keep alive; placed at home it instantly lifts the atmosphere, and it also makes a very suitable gift.
