Is Phalaenopsis Dream Girl a small-flowered variety, and how does it differ from Phalaenopsis Buddha's Treasure?
Today I want to recommend a red Phalaenopsis orchid to everyone -- Phalaenopsis 'Dream Girl'.

Phalaenopsis'Dream Girl'is a small to medium-flowered variety, and when it blooms it is full of pure, rich Chinese red, a passionate and bold color. A single stem's flowers can stay ornamental for 3 - 4months. It does not wilt all at once after blooming, but instead opens gradually in succession. Whether for decorating a home environment or as a fine gift, it is a good choice.

Phalaenopsis'Dream Girl' and the internet-famous variety Phalaenopsis'Buddha Treasure' have almost identical flower shapes and colors, and placed together they are easy to confuse. But on closer look there are still small differences: the petals of 'Dream Girl' have a velvety texture of their own, and when light falls on them there is a kind of understated premium feel; 'Buddha Treasure' leans more toward a glossy surface, with petals that look as if they have been given a highlight.

Care Methods
Temperature: the most suitable growing temperature is 18 - 28°C. In winter the indoor temperature should not be lower than 15°C, and the plant should be moved promptly to a warm spot indoors; during high summer temperatures, pay attention to ventilation and cooling, and avoid a stuffy, hot environment.
Watering: follow the principle of "water when dry, and water thoroughly when you do." When using sphagnum moss as the growing medium, wait until the sphagnum moss is completely dry before watering, and when you water, water thoroughly, and promptly pour off any standing water in the saucer to prevent root rot. In summer, water once every 5 - 7days, and in winter once every 10 - 15days.

Light: it prefers bright indirect light and dislikes direct strong light. It is recommended to place it on an east- or west-facing windowsill, or use a sheer curtain for shading on a south-facing windowsill. Ensuring 4 - 6hours of light per day is enough to meet its growth needs.
Fertilizing: before the flowering period, apply a phosphorus-potassium fertilizer once a month to promote flower bud differentiation; after the flowering period ends, switch to a general-purpose nutrient solution and follow the principle of "light fertilizer, applied frequently" to replenish the nutrients the plant needs for growth. Note that during the plant's dormant period, fertilizing should be reduced or stopped.

Points to Note
1.The growing medium should be a well-aerated mix of sphagnum moss and bark; avoid using ordinary garden soil.
2.The plant is fairly sensitive to environmental changes, so minimize frequent moving, to avoid affecting growth and flowering.

3.Be careful to keep the care environment well ventilated to prevent pests and diseases from breeding.
4.If root rot is found, prune it promptly and disinfect with agents such as carbendazim.
