Salad Gold Phalaenopsis5cm, making it a highly charming waxy small-to-medium variety. Its petals are a warm golden yellow, the lip is a delicate pinkish white, and it gives off a faint, subtle fragrance. Most surprising of all, its flowering period lasts as long as six months, and this exceptionally long ornamental period lets orchid lovers fully enjoy this beauty.

Salad Gold Phalaenopsis is tough and easy to grow, and its daily care requires no great effort. Under normal care conditions, it readily produces two flower spikes, and the spikes are thick and strong. Although the flower count is not especially large and the plant is fairly short and compact, its unique color combination is simply superb. The bright, dazzling yellow center contrasts with the delicate, soft pink, creating a striking yet harmonious visual effect; wherever it is placed in the home, it becomes an eye-catching focal point.

Care Tips

Potting medium: Salad Gold Phalaenopsis does well in a loose, airy mix of sphagnum moss and bark. Before use, it must be soaked and disinfected thoroughly to prevent pathogens from breeding.

Light: Salad Gold Phalaenopsis likes bright, indirect light. It can be placed on an east- or west-facing windowsill indoors, while a south-facing windowsill needs shading. Ensure 6 - 8hours of light per day; too much can scorch it, while too little leads to leggy growth.

Temperature: the suitable growing temperature is 18 - 28°C. In winter it should not drop below 15°C, and in summer it should not exceed 30°C; maintaining a day-night temperature difference of 5 - 8°C is good for growth and flowering.

Watering: follow "water when dry, stop when wet." Water when the surface of the sphagnum moss is dry and the interior is slightly moist, or when the bark medium turns pale; water thoroughly with room-temperature water and avoid splashing water into the leaf crown. In summer, water once every 2 - 3days, and in winter once every 7 - 10days.

Fertilizing: during the growing season, apply a balanced fertilizer diluted 2 - 3times per month at 1000 - 1500times dilution; switch to a phosphorus-potassium fertilizer at the flower bud stage, once every 10 - 15days. Reduce fertilizing in autumn and winter, to a diluted feed once a month.

Ventilation and humidity: keep the air moving and the humidity at 60% - 80%

Notes

1. Repot after flowering every 1 - 2years, trimming the roots and replacing the medium.

2.When the flowers fade, cut off the spent flowers and keep 2 - 3nodes on the flower spike, and it may bloom a second time.

3.Use carbendazim to prevent disease and insecticides to treat pests, and keep the environment clean and well ventilated.
