Does the Phalaenopsis Sunshine Coast have a fragrance, and what flower type is it?
As a popular medium-sized Phalaenopsis variety, Phalaenopsis Sunshine Coast opens with petals in a yellow-green gradient, and as the blooms develop, the color gradually turns to a soft creamy white; paired with slightly white sepals, the waxy petals have a natural translucence in the sunlight and give off a fresh fragrance.

Phalaenopsis Sunshine Coast has a single blooming period lasting as long as2-3months. If you want to extend the blooming period, keep it away from direct air conditioning airflow and heating sources, and maintain the temperature at15-25°C. After the blooming period ends, cut off the spent flowers from the base of the flower stem to preserve nutrients for the next rebloom.

If you find blackened, mushy roots on Phalaenopsis Sunshine Coast after repotting, handle it immediately as follows:
1.Root trimming: gently remove the plant, rinse the soil off the roots, use sterilized scissors to cut away the rotted roots, apply carbendazim powder to the wounds and let them dry2hours.
2.Air-drying the roots: place the plant in a ventilated spot to air-dry for1-2days so the root wounds dry out and infection after potting is avoided.

3.Potting: use a transparent plastic pot+sphagnum moss/bark mixed substrate, line the bottom of the pot with LECA clay pebbles to increase air permeability, place the roots into the pot in a natural curve, and gently press the substrate to secure them, being careful not to bury the leaf crown.
4.Acclimation: do not water in the1week after potting; keep it in a spot with diffused light and use a spray bottle to add a small amount of water along the edge of the pot each week, then gradually return to normal care after1month.

Daily care:
Watering: water when dry, keep it drier rather than wetter. In spring and autumn, water once every7-10days, in summer once every5-7days, and in winter once every10-15days. You can slowly pour room-temperature clean water from the edge of the pot, or simply set the pot in water for10minutes, then take it out.
Light: Phalaenopsis Sunshine Coast likes bright, diffused light and does not like full sun exposure, so shading is needed in summer. If the leaves turn yellow or develop spots, the light may be too strong; if it does not bloom for a long time, the light may be insufficient, and you can move it to a south-facing windowsill for1-2days each time for3-4hours of supplemental light.
Fertilizing: apply light fertilizer frequently. During the growing season, apply1application of liquid fertilizer specially formulated for Phalaenopsis per month to promote new leaf growth. During bud formation, switch to a phosphorus-potassium fertilizer once every2weeks until the buds begin to show color, then stop fertilizing. Pause fertilizing during the blooming period to avoid burning the roots.

Notes:
Humidity: when the air is dry in autumn and winter, mist the surrounding area daily to increase humidity, being careful to avoid the leaves, and keep the humidity at50%-70%for the best results.
Ventilation: open windows regularly to let in fresh air, especially after watering, to avoid suffocating the roots; during the plum rain season, you can use a fan to enhance air circulation.

Repotting cycle: repot once every1-2years. Once the substrate ages, its water retention declines, so replace it with fresh sphagnum moss and bark in time.
