Does the Perfume Golden Phalaenopsis have a fragrance? How long does its blooming period last? Explained clearly in one article
Today I would like to introduce a rare fragrant variety among Phalaenopsis orchids - Phalaenopsis Perfume Gold.

As one of the few fragrant varieties among Phalaenopsis orchids, Phalaenopsis Perfume Gold differs from the blandness of ordinary Phalaenopsis orchids. Its scent has a fresh, sweet fruity note that is even more noticeable when you lean in to smell it in sunlight. The petals have a waxy texture with a golden sheen, and the center of the middle petal is tinged with a faint crimson, giving it a premium look.

The flowers of Phalaenopsis Perfume Gold are upright and elegant, and a single flower spike can carry 8-12flowers, and a single flower can last as long as 3-4months, lasting from autumn and winter into the following spring, with a viewing period far longer than ordinary cut flowers. The golden petals also symbolize attracting wealth and prosperity in business, making it a good choice for both office spaces and home environments.

Care Tips
1.Watering: Better dry than wet. Observe the roots in a transparent pot, and water only after the sphagnum moss has turned completely white. Water gently along the edge of the pot and avoid water accumulating in the leaf center. In winter, water once every 10-15days, and in summer once every 5-7days. When dry, you can spray water around it to increase humidity, but be careful to avoid the petals.
2.Light: Diffused light is best. It can be placed on an east- or north-facing windowsill, or in a diffused-light area beside a south-facing windowsill, avoiding direct strong midday sunlight.

3.Temperature: Poor cold tolerance. Below 10°C it needs to be moved indoors for warmth. In summer, pay attention to ventilation and cooling, and keep it away from air-conditioner vents.
4.Substrate: Use a mixed substrate of sphagnum moss +bark (ratio 3:1), and replace it once a year after flowering to ensure air permeability.

5.Fertilizing: After the flower spike emerges, apply a phosphorus-potassium fertilizer (such as monopotassium phosphate) once a week to promote larger, more vividly colored flowers. After the flowers fade, cut from the base of the flower spike upward at the 2-3node, preserving nutrients to encourage new flower spikes.

Notes:
1.When air humidity is below 50%, lightly spray the leaves daily with a spray bottle, avoiding the flowers. In dry areas, it is recommended to use a humidifier as well.
2.In autumn, keep the nighttime temperature at around 15°C, and it can be placed on a balcony to stimulate flower bud differentiation, making it more likely to bloom the following year.
3.Choose a shallow pot rather than a deep pot to ensure smooth root respiration. A pot diameter 1-2cm larger than the diameter of the plant's root system is sufficient.
