Is Phalaenopsis Black Jack a large-flowered variety? Care tips included
Today I would like to introduce the beauty queen of the Phalaenopsis world - Black Jack.

Phalaenopsis Black Jack is a medium-flowered type, with a flower diameter of up to 7cm. The white petals are dotted with rose-red spots, paired with the unique red lip, giving it outstanding beauty that has won the affection of many flower lovers.

The flowering period of Phalaenopsis Black Jack is also quite long. Under normal conditions, the flowering period can last as long as 2 - 3months, and if cared for properly, it can even bloom for 4months.However, it also has a small shortcoming. During the growth process, the inflorescence is not easy to arrange neatly, and the upper petals tend to curl backward.

Care Tips
Light: Phalaenopsis Black Jack prefers diffused light and should avoid direct sunlight, especially the strong sunlight of summer, otherwise the leaves are easily sunburned.

Temperature: The most suitable growing temperature is 18-28°C. When the summer temperature exceeds 32°C, cooling measures need to be taken. When the winter temperature falls below 10°C, it needs to be moved to a warm place, and heating or air conditioning and other equipment can be used to keep it warm.
Watering: Follow the watering principle of "water when dry, stop when wet." For water quality, it is best to choose slightly acidic soft water, such as rainwater or tap water that has been left to stand for a period of time. When watering, avoid splashing water onto the flowers and leaves to prevent rot.
Fertilizing: During the growing season, apply a diluted special orchid fertilizer once every 1-2months. The fertilizer concentration should not be too high; follow the principle of "weak fertilizer, frequent application" to avoid fertilizer burn. During the flower bud differentiation stage, an appropriate increase in phosphorus and potassium fertilizer can be applied to promote the formation and development of flower buds.

Repotting: Phalaenopsis Black Jack grows relatively quickly, and it can be repotted once every spring to provide enough growing space. When repotting, be careful not to damage the root system. After repotting, place it in a cool, ventilated place to recover for a week.
Humidity: Phalaenopsis Black Jack likes relatively high air humidity, and you can regularly mist around the plant to increase air humidity.
Ventilation: Maintain a well-ventilated environment to avoid poor air circulation leading to the breeding of pests and diseases.

Notes
1.Repotting: Repotting too frequently easily damages the root system and affects plant growth.
2.Pest and disease control: Maintain a well-ventilated environment, regularly check the health of the plant, and promptly control any pests or diseases found.
3.Pruning: After flowering, if the stems turn yellow and shrivel, the flower stalk can be pruned off from the base to save nutrients and promote plant recovery.
