What is the meaning of the Phalaenopsis Michel variety, and is it a large-flowered type?
Today I want to share with you the aristocrat among Phalaenopsis orchids - the Michelle Phalaenopsis.

The Michelle Phalaenopsis is a large-flowered type, with petals in a deep vintage rose red paired with pure white edges. This striking contrast and full velvety texture give it a very luxurious feel, making it a popular variety among Phalaenopsis orchids.

The flower language of the Michelle Phalaenopsis is "happiness comes dancing to you", which sounds delightful just to hear. Whether placed at home to add a warm atmosphere or given to relatives and friends to convey blessings, it is more than appropriate.

The flowering period of the Michelle Phalaenopsis is quite long, generally lasting about 2-3months. If cared for properly, it can even last longer.

Care Methods
1. Light: Place theMichelle Phalaenopsis in a spot with plenty of bright indirect light, such as near a window in the living room, but avoid direct strong light, otherwise the leaves are easily damaged.
2. Watering: Follow the principle of "water thoroughly when dry." You can insert a finger 2-3cm into the potting medium, and water again when it feels dry. When watering, pour slowly along the edge of the pot, and avoid water pooling in the crown of the leaves, otherwise the crown is prone to rot.

3. Temperature: The Michelle Phalaenopsis likes a warm and comfortable environment, and 15-25℃ is most suitable. In winter, pay attention to keeping it warm and do not let it get cold, and in summer also avoid excessively high temperatures.
4. Fertilizing: During the growing season, apply a dilute liquid fertilizer about every 1-2weeks. Before the flowering period, you can apply more phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, so the flowers will bloom larger and more vividly.

Notes
1. Ventilation: Always ensure a well-ventilated environment, otherwise bacteria and pests and diseases are easily bred. You can often open the windows for ventilation, or use a small fan to blow air appropriately.
2. Repotting: Generally repot once every 1-2years, choosing a potting medium with good air permeability, such as sphagnum moss, bark, etc. When repotting, handle it carefully and gently, and do not damage the root system.
3. Pruning: After the flowers fade, promptly cut off the spent flowers to save nutrients. If you find yellow leaves or diseased leaves, also cut them off as soon as possible to keep the plant healthy.
