What to Do When the Petals of a Phalaenopsis Frosty Sugar Angel Orchid Wilt? Care Guide Explained
Today we simply must introduce the beauty queen among Phalaenopsis orchids - the Frosted Sugar Angel Phalaenopsis, which comes with its own fairy-like filter and instantly elevates the style of any home.

Frosted Sugar Angel is also called White Angel, and it lives up to its name with pure, pristine white blooms. The flower diameter is about 4cm, with smooth-lined diamond-shaped petals and a delicate texture. The lip has a touch of yellow, and the speckled markings on the sepals are even more of an eye-catcher. In the sunlight, it also gives off a faint, barely-there fragrance.

During care, if you notice the petals of Frosted Sugar Angel going limp, don't panic - find the cause and you can treat it accordingly.

Watering problems: overwatering easily causes root rot, which in turn makes the petals go limp. In that case, quickly take the plant out of the pot, trim off the rotted roots, then soak and disinfect them in a carbendazim solution, and after drying, replant it in fresh potting medium. If you have been watering too little, replenish the water in time, but don't pour too much at once - water thoroughly slowly and let it gradually recover its vitality.

Light problems: if the light is too strong and causes sunburn, immediately move it to a cool, well-ventilated spot and mist it lightly with water to help it recover.
Temperature problems: temperatures that are too high or too low can also make the petals go limp. When it is hot, increase ventilation and mist to cool it down; when it is cold, quickly move it to a warm indoor spot.

Daily care
Light: Frosted Sugar Angel likes bright, indirect light, so never let strong light hit it directly, or the leaves can easily get scorched. Placing it indoors near a window but where the sun does not shine directly on it is just right.
Temperature: the temperature best suited for its growth is 15 - 25°C. In summer, pay attention to cooling it down, and in winter, be sure to take good measures to keep it warm, or it cannot stand the cold.

Watering: follow the principle of "water when dry, water thoroughly" - wait until the surface of the potting medium is dry before watering, and water thoroughly. Generally, watering once a week is enough, but the specific frequency still has to be adjusted according to the actual environment. When watering, be careful not to let water collect on the leaves and in the crown, or it can easily rot.
Fertilizing: during the vigorous growth period, you can apply a dilute liquid fertilizer once every 1 - 2weeks, and do not fertilize during the dormant period.
As long as you master these small care tips, you can keep the Frosted Sugar Angel Phalaenopsis looking beautiful all the time.
