When growing evergreen plants at home, besides looking good, they should also carry beautiful meanings. In the past two years, it has become very popular to grow plants with broad leaves at home. On one hand, they can enhance the overall style of the home; on the other hand, there is also the saying that large leaves bring wealth. The following are several large-leaf green plants. They are not only extremely attractive but also quite easy to grow, suitable for most households.

Japanese fatsia

Japanese fatsia, also called eight-hand or eight-gold plate by some flower sellers, is an evergreen small tree plant. Its form resembles a human palm. Sometimes the leaves turn yellow, like a golden plate, so people have given it the meaning of wealth coming from all directions, symbolizing strength and integrity.

For care, Japanese fatsia likes warmth and can tolerate semi-shade. In summer, avoid direct sunlight. The most suitable growing temperature is 10 to 25 degrees. It is not very cold-tolerant. If the temperature is below 5 degrees, move it indoors quickly, otherwise it may easily die. For soil, choose fertile, loose sandy soil. From April to October each year is its blooming period. During this time, apply organic fertilizer once a month, or use nutrient solution once every 15 to 20 days.

Philodendron bipinnatifidum

Philodendron bipinnatifidum is a perennial evergreen herbaceous plant of the Araceae family and Philodendron genus. The whole plant is about 90 cm tall. Its shape closely resembles bird feathers, and the overall glossy green is especially lively.

For care, Philodendron bipinnatifidum likes a warm and humid environment. Although it does not have high light requirements, it cannot tolerate shade either. It prefers scattered light. It is not very cold-resistant. Gardeners in the north need to provide it with a suitable growing temperature, otherwise it is very difficult for it to grow. In addition, for daily care, it is recommended to often wipe the leaf surface with a damp cloth, otherwise the leaves will look as if covered with a layer of white frost.

Aspidistra

Aspidistra, also called large-leaf evergreen, is known for having only one leaf growing on each stem. It is suitable for placement in many locations in the home, such as the living room, bedroom, study, and so on.

For care, Aspidistra has strong vitality and basically no pests or diseases. It likes a shady environment. It prefers loose and breathable soil media. For watering, following the principle of watering when dry and letting it dry between waterings will keep it growing well.
