Winter Care Methods and Precautions for Keeping Flowers Dry
As winter approaches and the temperature gets colder day by day, our flowers and plants also need special care, because in the cold season many plants enter a dormant or semi-dormant state accordingly, and their demand for water is greatly reduced. If at this time everyone still waters according to the summer watering frequency, it may easily lead to root rot or affect the health of the plants. Let us talk below about which plants need "dry care" in winter.
Variegated Spider Plant
This is a plant with especially beautiful flowers and leaves. You can place it on a decorative desk or hang it on an office balcony, because this plant is relatively shade-tolerant. It is not very cold-tolerant. If the temperature is below 20 degrees, you need to reduce the watering frequency for it and only keep the soil slightly moist; doing so can prevent the plant from being damaged. If the temperature drops to around ten degrees, you can simply stop watering it to protect the plant from cold damage.

Crown of Thorns
Crown of Thorns is a drought-tolerant plant that likes sunlight, but when caring for it in winter, the watering frequency should be reduced, and you only need to consider watering once the soil is about forty percent dry. When the temperature is below 5°C, the watering frequency should be further reduced, and at the same time, increase the light exposure during the day; doing so can enhance its cold resistance. Keeping plants dry in winter can help prevent root diseases caused by soil that is too wet.

Desert Rose
The Desert Rose has gorgeous flowers, so many flower lovers are very fond of it. However, in winter, its root system is extremely sensitive to cold, and its growing temperature must not be below ten degrees; if it is lower than that, it may easily die. In winter, keep its soil dry and at the same time avoid frost damage caused by low temperatures. It is recommended to create a suitable temperature indoors for it to get through the cold winter.

Jasmine
Jasmine has a fascinating fragrance after it blooms. In winter care, it is a flower that is not cold-tolerant, so you must keep the soil relatively dry, and do not water it too much. Avoid yellow leaves and wilting caused by low temperature or low humidity.

To ensure its healthy growth, it is recommended to keep the environment above 10°C in winter, and at the same time properly prune off faded flowers and yellowing leaves.
