In the plant world, white flowers stand out for their purity and elegance, adding a fresh and serene atmosphere to the garden. The following white flowers are excellent choices for creating a charming garden.

Gardenia

The gardenia has lush branches and leaves and stays evergreen all year round, with glossy, shining leaves. Its flowers are as white as jade, with full petals and a delicate texture. When they bloom, the flowers give off a simple yet fragrant scent, rich but not cloying, immersing the whole garden in a sweet fragrance. The gardenia prefers a warm, humid environment with plenty of sunshine and good ventilation, and grows especially vigorously in acidic soil. When caring for it, be careful to avoid waterlogging, and apply extra fertilizer during the flowering period to ensure both the number of blooms and their fragrance.

Jasmine

The jasmine plant is small and delicate, with leaves of vivid green, and small, pure white flowers borne at the tips of the branches in cymes. The petals are mostly single or double, and the golden, dazzling stamens set off the flawless whiteness of the petals even more. Its fragrance is fresh and elegant, hailed as "the finest fragrance in the world," and it is often used to make perfumes and scented tea. Jasmine loves warmth and fears cold and drought; given plenty of sunlight and good ventilation, it can bloom profusely. During the flowering period, spent flowers should be pruned diligently to encourage the sprouting of new branches and the differentiation of flower buds.

White Michelia

The white Michelia has an attractive tree shape, gray bark, and lush branches and leaves, with thin, leathery, long-oval leaves. Its flowers are as white as jade, with a quiet, sweet fragrance; the petals are slender, like jade hairpins, and the flowers are borne singly in the leaf axils. The petals are thick and fleshy, and when the flowers open the petals spread outward in a star shape. The white Michelia loves an environment with plenty of light, warmth, humidity, and good ventilation. It is not cold-hardy, and is not strict about soil, but a fertile, loose, well-drained, slightly acidic soil is best. In daily care, keep the air humid; in summer, avoid direct strong sunlight; and during the vigorous growth period, fertilize regularly to provide the nutrients the plant needs for growth and flowering.

White Rose

The white rose has a pure, snow-white color, with layer upon layer of petals and a beautiful flower shape; the blooms are large and full, symbolizing pure love and lofty respect. Its stems are densely covered with tiny thorns, and its leaves are odd-pinnate compound leaves with a good gloss. The white rose is fairly adaptable, but grows best in an environment with plenty of light and good ventilation. A fertile, loose, well-drained soil is ideal. During the growing period, regular fertilizing and pruning are needed to promote robust growth and the differentiation of flower buds, and in winter, cold-protection measures are required.
