Today I absolutely have to share with you an incredibly beautiful flower: the snapdragon!

The blooms of the snapdragon look like a group of lively little goldfish playing among the stems and leaves. Its flower stems stand straight up, topped with clusters of blooms in all sorts of shapes. Some petals are broad and spread out, while others curl slightly, and together they look just like the nimble form of a goldfish. What's more, the colors are extremely rich: pure white like the first snow of winter, fresh and elegant; gentle pink like a young girl's dream, sweet and romantic; fiery red like burning flames, full of passion; noble purple like the mysterious night sky, deep and distant; and brilliant yellow like the morning sun, bright and dazzling. When snapdragons of different colors come together in one place, it is simply a colorful fairy-tale world, dazzlingly gorgeous to the extreme.

The flower meaning of the snapdragon is also very interesting and full of deep feeling.White snapdragons symbolize purity and kindness, a reflection of an immaculate inner heart; pink snapdragons represent sweet love and a happy marriage; red snapdragons signify good luck and prosperity; purple snapdragons convey nobility and mystery; and yellow snapdragons mean wealth and harvest. Overall, it also conveys a lively and joyful air; wherever it is, as long as snapdragons are present, the surrounding atmosphere becomes relaxed and pleasant.

In fact, snapdragons are not hard to grow.As for soil, snapdragons prefer loose, airy, well-drained and fertile soil; you can mix leaf mold, peat soil and perlite. Sowing is usually done in spring and autumn; scatter the seeds evenly on the surface of the soil, cover lightly with a thin layer of soil and water thoroughly, keeping the soil moist, and they will sprout in about a week. They love sunlight, but in the high heat of summer they need some shade to prevent scorching. The suitable growing temperature is 15 - 25°C; they are fairly cold-tolerant but still need protection from the cold. Water according to the principle of "dry when dry, wet when wet", avoiding waterlogging that causes root rot. For fertilizer, apply a dilute liquid fertilizer once every one or two weeks during the growing period, and adding extra phosphorus and potassium fertilizer before the flowering period will help the blooms open even more brilliantly.

In short, whether decorating a garden or a balcony, or placed indoors as a cut flower, snapdragons instantly elevate the style and add endless poetry and romance to life.
