Care Tips
Growing medium: You can choose a well-aerated medium such as sphagnum moss or bark. If using sphagnum moss, first soak it and wring it out until it stops dripping, then wrap it around the roots. This keeps a certain level of moisture while allowing the roots to breathe freely.
Light: It likes bright, indirect light, so avoid direct sunlight. You can place it by a bright indoor window, for example near an east- or west-facing windowsill, to let it receive soft light. If the light is too strong, the flowers and leaves may get sunburned.
Temperature: The suitable growing temperature is 15 - 28°C. In winter, pay attention to keeping it warm and don't let it freeze. During high summer temperatures, maintain good ventilation to avoid excessively high temperatures affecting the plant's growth.
Watering: Watering is the key. The Green Apple Phalaenopsis likes moisture but cannot tolerate waterlogging. Insert your finger into the medium; if it feels dry, water thoroughly, but be careful not to let water remain in the crown of the leaves, otherwise it can easily cause crown rot.
Fertilizing: During the growing season, apply light fertilizer frequently and avoid strong fertilizer that can burn the roots. Reduce fertilizing during the flowering and dormant periods.
