In the world of plant enthusiasts, succulents are deeply loved by the public because they are easy to care for and have unique forms, and among them the two varieties Luoshen and Roccoco are especially eye-catching. However, for those unfamiliar with succulent varieties, telling them apart is not always a simple matter. This is because both have thick leaves and a dense, compact lotus-like rosette form, and secondly, the differences between these two succulents in color and texture are very slight, so confused naming sometimes occurs on the market. Let's take a look at how to tell them apart quickly.

Although the succulents Luoshen and Roccoco have many similarities, when you place them side by side for comparison, there are still many differences. First is leaf shape: Luoshen's leaves are usually more slender, the edges may have a red border, and the overall shape resembles a peanut. Roccoco's leaves, on the other hand, are rounder and plumper, the overall color is relatively greener, the leaf tips may show pink or purple tones, and the shape is smaller and more delicate. In addition, when Luoshen's fleshy leaves receive insufficient light they appear green, while Roccoco does not.

Luoshen and Roccoco succulents have different care requirements. In terms of growing environment, although neither is cold-tolerant, relatively speaking Luoshen is somewhat more cold-tolerant. However, in winter, if the overall environment is below 10 degrees, they must immediately be moved indoors for care, otherwise frost damage or stunted growth may occur.

As for watering, because Luoshen's leaves are a bit thicker, it needs less water than Roccoco, while Roccoco's leaves are thinner so it needs more frequent watering. For both succulents, soil moisture should follow the principle of "better dry than wet": water only after the soil has dried out, and after watering make sure there is no standing water at the bottom of the pot, so that water does not accumulate in the leaf center and cause disease.

Overall, Luoshen is relatively more drought-tolerant and robust, while Roccoco requires more meticulous care. When caring for them, adjustments should be made according to the characteristics of the specific variety, ensuring sufficient light, suitable temperature and humidity, and reasonably controlling the amount of watering.
