Planting method:
Choose loose, fertile, well-drained soil, and it can be improved by adding decomposed organic fertilizer and river sand.
Sow in spring from March to April or in autumn from September to October. Before sowing, soak the seeds in warm water for 24 hours to improve the germination rate, then scatter them evenly on the soil surface and cover with a thin layer of soil, keeping it moist; they will germinate in 7 to 10 days. When the seedlings grow to 5 to 6 true leaves, transplant and set them out, choosing a sunny, well-ventilated spot, with a plant spacing of 30 to 40 cm.
Care method:
Light and temperature: It likes plenty of sunlight, at least 6 hours of light per day, with a suitable growing temperature of 15°C to 30°C; pay attention to keeping it warm in winter.
Watering and fertilizing: It likes moisture but does not tolerate waterlogging. Keep the soil moist during the growing period, watering 2 to 3 times a week, and the frequency can be increased in summer. Apply diluted liquid fertilizer every 15 to 20 days to promote plant growth and flowering.
Pruning and pest and disease control: Prune overly long branches and withered flowers in time to keep it looking neat. Pay attention to ventilation and air permeability, and promptly control pests and diseases when found, such as by spraying pesticide.
